Proceedings
The proceedings for The 8th International e-VLBI Workshop are published through Proceedings of Science (http://pos.sissa.it). This wiki lists a number of points of attention that came up during the process.
- It is a good idea to experiment with the templates (both .doc and .tex) before sending out the invitation to ensure 1) that they work and 2) that references, headers, etc. come out as expected/wanted.
- Authors should be instructed in the first e-mail they receive to 1) include co-authors on the PoS website and 2) conform to the PoS standard of referencing/bibliography.
- Note that it is possible to edit PDFs directly using Adobe Acrobat, but it ain't gonna be pretty, mainly due to the fact that PDFs have text divided in lines, not paragraphs.
- When sending requests for revisions or acceptance e-mails through PoS, these e-mails are rejected by the ASTRON (and hence JIVE) mail server. This may be solved by changing the “From:” field to “pos-eo@pos.sissa.it” rather than “someone@jive.nl”.
