====== jaw2 ====== This system serves as the boot server for the HP-RT systems and runs some processes that are necessary to configure the correlator. Information on how to reinstall this system from scratch can be found [[correlator:newjaw0|here]]. The ICT department knows the root password for this system. ====== juw31/juw32 ====== These systems run the correlator control software (CCC). If one of the systems fails, switch to the other one. The ICT department should be making backups of these machines; they also know the root password for these systems. ====== juw36 ====== This system is used to dump correlator output to disk (DDD). If this system fails, it is possible to dump data on CCC by starting the correlator software using start_all_procs.sh instead of start_procs.sh. Note that juw31/juw32 only have a limited amount of disk space. If there is a long-term outtage, it is possible to attach the RAID array that's normally connected to this machine to juw31 or juw32 instead. This is likely to require assistance from Paul, although Mark or Harro may manage to do this as well. The following line taken from ''/etc/vfstab'' on juw36 may be useful in that case: ''/dev/dsk/c4t0d0s0 /dev/rdsk/c4t0d0s0 /data ufs 2 yes - '' The ICT department knows the root password for this system. ====== pcint ====== This system is used for post-correlation processing; it also serves as a boot server for the Linux SBC's in the correlator. Disaster recovery instructions can be found taped to the door of the racks containing these systems. This document is also available {{:correlator:pcint-doc.pdf|online in PDF format}}. ====== jop15 ====== This system hosts the EVN data archive. Backups of the archive are made on tape (LTO). The procedure for restoring these backups is documented [[http://archive.jive.nl/scripts/util/backup/recoverFromDisaster.html|here]]. The ICT department knows the root password for this system. ====== juw27 ====== This system contains some old data, but isn't really used anymore. The ICT department knows the root password for this system.
