Wide-field Global VLBI Observations of a close Pair
The image shown below was produced by the EVN+VLBA (6cm) using wide-field
techniques to avoid time and bandwidth smearing. The sources were
detected as apart of a phase-referencing snapshot survey (see the
corresponding FIRST page
for further information. The two sources are separated by
about 1 arcmin on the sky. In principle, wide-field VLBI imaging can
provide direct and accurate measurements of the sources relative
positions.
