Hi Mike, I was on holiday in the Algarve for two weeks, where i met a fellow celtic supporter called Andy. We booked up on a historical tour of Lisbon leaving the wives and weans behind to do their own thing that day( a day oot wi the Bhoys) We set off at six in the morning and arrived in Lisbon three hours later. We quickly pulled out of the tour, hired a taxi, and set off on a white knuckled ride through Lisbon to the Stadio Du Nacional. As we approached the tree lined avenue, the hairs on the back of my neck began to stand up. We spent an hour in the stadium taking photos(we bunged the taxi driver so he would come back for us) When we arrived back in Albufeira, I was told that Bobby Murdoch had died. I can't put it into words how I felt. You see I come from the same parish as Bobby, St Columbkilles Rutherglen. I found it a bit spooky to say the least.I joked with Andy when we were there that it felt almost quite religious being in the stadium and that the last time i felt that way was when i was in Lourdes with the scout pipe band back in 1966. Maybe Bobby's spirit was with us for a last look that sunny afternoon.Andy met Billy Mc Neil at Tom Boyd's testimonial dinner and told him the story he thought it was really strange. Anyway i've attached a couple of photos of that day hope you can open them,if you can't e-mail me and i'll get them to you another way. PS Its funny how i sat in row 4 in the photo is'nt it Ian Latta.
